After an eye-opening psychedelic experience with ayahuasca, Lucas finally faces his lifelong fear of telling Samantha, his childhood friend, that he’s in love with her. To his surprise, she reciprocates – but life has a way of pushing back. It’s about letting go of fear and pursuing love even when it’s complicated.

Conor Chandler Simpson is a native of the the woods of Massachusetts, which greatly informed his fascination with the primal forces of human + environmental connection. After graduating from Emerson College, he has since worked for director Michael Mann, shot dance film projects in New York City, created videos for post punk bands in Chicago, and directed a range of commercials, music videos, and short films in Los Angeles. He also co-directs the live visuals for the FYF music festival. He is drawn to filmmaking as an art that harnesses the power of collaboration to create something greater than what we can do alone. He is currently developing a TV series based on the same subject matter as Pounce.
